Les Miserables - 25th Anniversary Tour

To be honest, I'd kind of forgotten about this blog. Google, however, still remembered. That's a little scary...
I just joined Google+ and was checking my Google account and all the things that are attached to it and ran across this blog. It's been well over a year since I posted to it, but here's the lastest show that I've seen.

Les Miserables
June 30, 2011 8PM
Ahmanson Theatre

This was the last show in my 2010-11 season tickets, no wait, I still have a Cirque Du Soleil show coming up at the Kodak. Whatever. Anyway, this was wonderful!! Of course Les Miz is a classic and a completely wonderful show in and of itself. This production was glorious. The talent was amazing. Not a dud in the bunch. :)

The staging is what really drew me in. No more big circular lazy susan stage, but there were actual sets. They also used a screen across the back that they could project anything on. So everything was very realistic. When they went underground we were in the tunnels with him. They also did an effect when *spoiler?* when Javert jumps to kill himself that was especially thrilling.

It was a glorious night of theatre. Loved every minute.
